Just $25 a day provides healthy breakfast meals for children in schools across Southeast Queensland!
The YMCA Schools' Breakfast Program is a school based program where food, equipment and guidance are provided free of charge by the YMCA, so that schools are able to operate a breakfast program which in turn improves student academic, school community and behavioural outcomes. The Program is currently supported by the Clem Jones Group, Foodbank Queensland, and Tip Top (George Weston Foods).
The goal of the program is to provide school children with a real opportunity to make the most of their education. We do this by reducing the number of students disadvantaged by hunger and poor nutrition. The program is free of charge to all children within participating schools regardless of their socioeconomic status, culture or religion.
The Schools' Breakfast Program has provided over 3 Million meals to schools across Logan, Ipswich and Brisbane regions since 2006
