Why I am supporting Spinal Cord Injuries Australia

My Story

I am taking part in The Big Day Back to raise much needed funds for Spinal Cord Injuries Australia. In particular, to support and help facilitate much needed upgrades, for the exercise rehabilitation program NeuroMoves which is an extremely valuable service that I currently utilise regularly. Their work is awesome and tailored specifically to people with a SCI, and I want to do what I can to help. But there is only so much I can do on my own. You can help too, by donating to my page. Any amount you can give makes a difference! You can also support me by encouraging others to get involved, too. Please email the link to my page to your friends and family, or share it on social media. Thank you so much for your continued generosity and support, it means the world to me. Together we can help Spinal Cord Injuries Australia create a better life for people with spinal cord injuries. The cure is closer than we think!!!

About The Big Day Back

International Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day is the 5 September – a day that promotes disability awareness and inclusion across the globe.

Join us in backing people with spinal cord injuries by organising a fundraising activity at your work, school or in your community to raise money and awareness. If 5 September does not suit you – anytime in September is great!

Every dollar you raise will bring us closer to buying more life changing equipment for SCIA’s national exercise program, NeuroMoves.

At NeuroMoves every little improvement is celebrated as a Big Day. We know small changes can make a huge impact on someone’s life - from regaining the ability to hold a fork to feed yourself to improving strength and endurance to play with your kids.

About my cause: Spinal Cord Injuries Australia
