Why I am supporting Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MPAN)

My Story

I am taking part in NostraData at the Melbourne Marathon to raise much needed funds for Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MPAN). Their work is really important, and I want to do what I can to help. But there is only so much I can do on my own. You can help too, by donating to my page. Any amount you can give makes a difference! You can also support me by encouraging others to get involved, too. Please email the link to my page to your friends and family, or share it on social media. Thank you for your generosity and support -- it means a lot to me. Together we can help Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MPAN) create the world we want to see.

About NostraData at the Melbourne Marathon

Come and join NostraData at the 2019 Melbourne Marathon Festival.

Whether you choose the 5km walk or the 10km run or even the ½ marathon, we will be running as a team to support Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MPAN).

MPAN does important work and it's a cause we want to recognise. Your support will help to humanise missing people, assist families searching for a missing loved one, show people living with ambiguous loss that they're not alone, and prevent vulnerable people from disappearing.

All donations are tax-deductible and it all adds up, so please donate what you can and spread the word to all your friends!

About my cause: Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MPAN)

MPAN humanises missing people and provides practical support to their families and friends.

Over 100 Australians are reported missing every day, and while most are found quickly, many are not. Research shows that for every one missing person, at least 12 others are directly impacted – financially, emotionally, and psychologically. Experts around the world consider ambiguous loss to be the most stressful type of grief.

MPAN creates awareness for missing loved ones, equips families with practical support and services, and works to establish partnerships that increase visibility for the issue and lessen the financial impact on those left behind.

Missing Persons is a community issue, and MPAN encourages a collaborative effort across the media, corporate sector, all levels of government, emergency services and people power with police, to ensure that families left behind get the support they deserve.
