You can read this. Imagine if you couldn't...
An astonishing 1 in 7 kids who leave school today are unable to read and write well*. Yes you read that correctly - 1 in 7. We at Dymocks Children's Charities are determined to change that, and we hope you can help us. Dymocks Children's Charities were established to help combat the low and declining literacy rates in Australia. We have over 1,000 kids who are waiting to join one of our unique literacy support programs. Kids like Joe. Joe is 6yrs old and lives in Regional Victoria. He has to travel over 100kms to attend school which is the only place he can access any reading material. With your help our literacy support programs can help Joe and other kids like him.

Our programs have the capacity to change the life of a child. As Jesmond Zammit, Principal, Gorokan Public School stated: "I have been an educator for over 20 years...I have never seen anything with such tremendous capacity to affect student attitude and motivation towards reading as what I have seen through the implementation of the Book Bank program..."
So far this financial year we have helped 18,463 kids in 124 schools get 33,449 books, but there is so much more to be done.
Can you help us help kids this tax time?
