PNG is an important part of our region. We have work colleagues and customers whose family and friends have been impacted by the devastating 7.5 earthquake on February 26 and the continued aftershocks. Recent news reports state that women and children are currently facing significant threats and are particularly at risk in the wake of the earthquake.
On Friday 27 April at 10am in the Cafeteria in the Skills Development Centre building, bring a plate to share; bake it yourself or buy and bring. Enjoy a cuppa and a delicious plate of goodies after contributing a donation to help those who are most vulnerable through Care Australia. Care Australia have launched an emergency response and are distributing hygiene kits and sanitation items to families in urgent need.
For every dollar donated, GE will match 1:1.
In addition, through the assistance of GE Volunteers we will have a Teddy Bear Stuffing station, so we can make our own teddy bears that will be donated to children in need.
