Why I am supporting Breast Cancer Care WA

My Story

So many of us know someone touched by cancer or may have gone through this ourselves. It is a time of immense challenges for the individual and their loved ones. Sadly cancer has touched my family and friends on many occasions this is why I fundraise and hope with your help we can all make a difference. This is my 3rd year fundraising with the generous help of donations from family, friends, colleagues, my employer, my local business and complete strangers, who like me believe in helping our fellow West Australia's through a tough time that have a diagnosis of Breast Cancer. When you see the wonderful support and services every cent goes towards right here in WA for men and women, you know together we can & do make a huge difference in someone's life! Thank you so much for your kind and generous donation. Nikki 💜

About IGA Purple Bra Day 2018

Every year the streets of WA turn purple as our #breastfriends take up the challenge to wear the iconic purple bra on the outside of their clothes to raise funds to support Western Australians affected by breast cancer. The day is all about having fun, raising funds and showing that you are breast aware!

Participants simply register to take part, a free ‘one size fits all’ purple bra is sent out to those that are fundraising and the bra is worn OVER your clothes for your fundraising.

With the support of the Western Australian community and workplaces we aim to “raise the bra” this year… but we need your help!

About my cause: Breast Cancer Care WA

Breast Cancer Care WA provides personalised emotional, practical and financial support and care to people affected by breast cancer.

This includes men with breast cancer, carers and family who have their own challenges and needs through the experience.

Thanks to the generosity of the Western Australian community, all services are free of charge and tailored to meet the needs of each individual.
