So it seems that every other year for the past 4 years, I go on this mad fitness, no carbs before Marbs give me a sexy body ego boost phase thinking I could be the next Mo Farah and actually complete a marathon in a reasonable time (I have yet to do so and I’ve completed 2).
Unfortunately 2 years actually go by quite quickly and its that time of year again and so I have signed up to do the Sydney Marathon on the 16th September 2018 (yes it's only one month away, no I haven't trained, yes you would have thought I would have learnt from last time but it seems I have a memory of a goldfish). To make matters worse, me being the drunk loudmouth that I am, has also agreed to do the Tauranga Half Marathon in New Zealand a WEEK LATER on the 22nd September. I honestly have no idea what goes through this crazy brain of mine so please don't ask.
Saying that all this is for an amazing cause as I will be running them both for Sane Australia; Australia's National Mental Health Charity. Their work is really important, and I want to do what I can to help, but there is only so much I can do on my own and so I ask for your support too by donating to my page and this fantastic charity. Any amount you can give will make a huge difference!
However, I would hate to just ask for your money and give nothing in return so as such I have decided to make it into a little competition of Guess My Marathon Time. If you donate, please guess my finishing time for the Marathon and write it in the comment section and include your name. The person who gets the closest time will win a bottle of bubbly as a little token of appreciation for your support.
To give you some help I completed my 1st marathon in 5 hours 39, and my 2nd marathon in 4 hours 59.
