On Sunday I am running for R U OK? in the Sydney Running Festival Half Marathon. It will be the third time I am running a Half Marathon in my life, however I am feeling a little more nervous this time around as it is the first time I will be running alone. In previous half marathons and distance running in general I have always had a group of mates or family members by my side to encourage and support each other to push through. I feel running is a great opportunity to check in on those you care about, have long chat and ask R U OK? On Sunday, I wanted to make a point of challenging myself to make it on my own, in saying that I also want to be there to support anyone who needs it along the way just as others have done for me in the past. I will be wearing a bright yellow singlet as part of the R U OK? team and I will be making sure I ask R U OK? to as many people as I can on the journey. I am really passionate about the R U OK? mission, which is to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with people around them and support anyone struggling with life. Sunday for me is about being part of that mission. Please email the link to my page to your friends and family, or share it on social media. Thank you for your generosity and support -- you're helping R U OK? to create the world we want to see.
