Kendall and Roz Benton are going to run across Sydney Harbour Bridge this September, to raise much-needed funds for Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. They're doing this on behalf of Chris Benton and Maria Debono.
Chris (beloved Dad and husband) was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2014 and their friend Maria was diagnosed in 2017.
Brain cancer survival rates are low and have hardly changed for 30 years, despite significant increases in survival for Australians diagnosed with other types of cancer, such as prostate and breast cancer. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE - NOW!
Treatment is challenging because it affects our most vital organ. Brain cancer costs more per person than any other cancer, yet only receives a SMALL FRACTION of federal government cancer research funding.
Cure Brain Cancer is the peak organisation for brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness in Australia, with a time-critical mission to increase five-year survival from the current 20% to 50% by 2023. Their work is really important, and Kendall and Roz want to do what they can to help. But there is only so much they can do on their own.
You can help too, by donating to their page. ANY amount you can give makes a difference!
You can also support them by encouraging others to get involved, too. Please email the link to their page to your friends and family, or share it on social media.
THANK YOU! Together we can help Cure Brain Cancer Foundation create the world we want to see.
