My Story

Please support an excellent cause. I was recently touched by the story of Nicolas and Adrian. I have known their parents, Mayleen and Chris for over 15 years, and what started as a very routine second pregnancy for Mayleen, ended in the most tragic of circumstances, with the passing of Nicolas. He was 8 days old. Whilst his stay on earth was only brief, he was an incredible fighter and will always be loved and missed by those around him. The story of Nicholas and Adrian made me aware of Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS), a condition that affects identical twin pregnancies. Twins unequally share a common placenta, which can lead to one twin not receiving the necessary nutrients in order to survive. For me it was also a reminder of my own son’s Harrison’s birth. Harrison is now a healthy 13 year-old, but he wouldn’t have been with us without the support of amazing Hospital’s like The Royal Hospital for Women. With this in mind, I am taking part in Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2017 to raise much needed funds for Royal Hospital for Women Foundation. Their work is really important, and I want to do what I can to help. But there is only so much I can do on my own. You can help too, by donating to my page. Any amount you can give makes a difference! You can read more about Nicolas and Adrian here Chris Bradford
