I'm taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2017 (Half Marathon) and helping to raise much needed funds for charity.
This September, I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete a gruelling course over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps...
I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.
I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of Cure Brain Cancer Foundation and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in The 2017 Blackmores Sydney Half Marathon.
Each year approximately 1600 people are diagnosed with brain cancer in Australia and on average, 1200 people die from brain cancer in Australia each year. Brain cancer kills more children in Australia than any other diseases and kills more people under 40 than any other cancer. The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation is dedicated to accelerating the development of new treatments to increase the five year survival rate from 20% to 50% by 2023.
My Nanny Pat passed away suddenly from brain cancer in 2002 which is why I've chosen the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
Thank you for your support and helping to make a difference!
