About Aim For The Stars

Aim for the Stars was created by seven-times World Surfing Champion Layne Beachley in 2003 to cultivate courage and self-belief in women and girls through mentoring and financial assistance.

To date the Foundation has provided scholarships to over 440 women and girls across Australia. We are empowering our sisSTARs to be the best they can be and are proud to see them create a lasting and positive impact on the community.

Our current and past scholars include:

- 22 Olympian and Paralympians
- 4 girls who have been invited to speak at The United Nations
- 1 nominee for Young Australian of the Year
- 28 creative stars
- 33 social and community leaders
- 13 climate changers
- 8 amazing scientists

About Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2017

The 2017 Blackmores Sydney Running Festival is an iconic event with a spectacular course that includes a run over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and a finish at the Opera House. The festival will be held on September 17, 2017 and features a marathon, half marathon, bridge run and a family fun run - so there is something for everyone. 35,000 runners are expected to participate in 2017.
