Half marathon completed in 2:17:24!!
All you good good people,
I truely believe that Memories Are Worth Fighting For. And, since fighting with fists and longswords is generally frowned upon in this day and age, I fight with my feet; one step at a time.
I'd (somewhat over enthusiastically) registered myself for a 150km MEMORY JOG to help raise $1000 for Alzheimer's Australia, culminating in running the Blackmores' Sydney Half Marathon on September 2017.
Need a reason to donate..? Consider one, some or all of these:
1) Donating is quick, fast and painless unlike completing 150km of running
2) Your donations pressure (I mean inspire) me to put one foot in front of another and 'just keep running' even when I don't want to
3) You get a good karma for helping fund innovative research into the cause, delay, prevention, treatment, care and cure of dementia.
Want to donate but don't know how much..?
I know times are tough. I'm not asking for (though will greatly accept!) large donations. Any small change you can gather and contribute makes a difference. Dig into and collect spare coins/notes from your pockets, in-between the cushions on the sofa and the car foot wells. Maybe consider donating the cost of one cup of coffee/tea/beer/wine over the course of a week?
Help me run for the memories of those people who can no longer remember.
Thank you x
