About Kirsty's Hawaiian Ocean Swims

For the past 8 years I have been lucky enough to have coached and mentored some of the amazing grant recipients supported by Layne and her Foundation.  It has been one of the most satisfying and rewarding things that I have done and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to raise some money for the alumni grant program.

The alumni grants will support five community programs that are currently running and having a huge impact in their communities.

Layne has surfed and won her world titles in these iconic breaks and now it is my turn to swim them and at the same time, give back to her incredible Foundation.

The swims are the Waikiki Roughwater which is 3.84kms on 1 September and then the North Shore 5km Ocean Swim on 8 September.  Please support my challenge by donating to the Foundation.
