My journey started 2 years ago, It was one of those things where I just saw a recent picture of myself and thought that I couldn't identify as myself anymore. I was going through some things at the time and was starting to feel like I had lost my shine.
I joined a gym, picked up some weights, hoping that if I looked better then I'll start feeling better. It started working, I was beginning to feel more positive, I felt like maybe if I can take control of my fitness then I can take control of things that were happening to me. As I got fitter I decided that one day I want to run a full marathon, the half way point was last November when I successfully completed the Dhaka Half Marathon.
Everyone says that your "why" must be strong enough to pull you through the distance of a marathon because there will come a point where you run out of everything else during the race. I am discovering my "why" through this journey, slowly but surely,
I am taking part in the Melbourne Marathon 2017 to raise much needed funds for Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF). Their work is really important, and I want to do what I can to help. But there is only so much I can do on my own.
You can help too, by donating to my page. Any amount you can give makes a difference!
You can also support me by encouraging others to get involved, too. Please email the link to my page to your friends and family, or share it on social media.
Thank you for your generosity and support -- it means a lot to me. Together we can help Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) create the world we want to see.
